Does being remote matter?
For a 48-hour build, no — and arguably it helps. The process is a scheduled video call, a written scope you approve, daily progress links during the build, and a handover call. There is no phase where standing in a room together would make it faster.
The exception is preference. Some founders want a face in a room, and that is a completely reasonable thing to want. If it matters to you, hire a local agency and pay the premium for it; you will get a good result and you should not let anyone talk you out of it.
If you are in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, meeting for the discovery call or the handover is straightforward and plenty of clients do.
Working with founders outside Australia
This works too, and pricing in Australian dollars usually works out well for US and UK founders. Timezone is handled by the same mechanism as everything else: a scheduled call plus a written scope, so nothing depends on being awake at the same time.
The one honest caveat is that the discovery call has to land in a window that works for both of us, which for European founders means early morning their time or late evening ours.
